Erika Benteen, Captain of the USS Lakota during the attempted coup of Admiral Leyton in 2372. Benteen was Court Martialed for supporting the coup attempt and attacking the USS Defiant, which she believed to be crewed by Founders. However, Admiral Leyton later testified that he had deliberately misled many of his supporters, including Captain Benteen, and the Court acquitted her of most of the charges. She was sentenced to demotion to the rank of commander and a letter of reprimand was placed in her file.
