Talak,Talan was 'Third' in the Jem'Hadar force that captured Captain Sisko in 2370. Talak'Talan was also the Jem'Hadar who delivered the news of the capture of Captain Sisko and the destruction of New Bajor. Talak'Talan was one of the first Jem'Hadar that StarFleet xeno-psychologists had any opportunity to observe and until recently he was thought to be a typical Jem'Hadar. Now it is known that Talak'Talan is a most atypical in one important characteristic in that he shows remarkable degree of flexibility in new tactical situations. This was undoubtablely why the Vorta selected him for the mission to DS9.
